Textes offerts \u00e0 Jean Vaquer"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><em><strong>Sous la direction de Muriel Gandelin<br \/>\n<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n<div class=\"\">\n<p>Jean Vaquer, arch\u00e9ologue et directeur de recherche \u00e9m\u00e9rite au CNRS, sp\u00e9cialis\u00e9 dans la Pr\u00e9histoire r\u00e9cente, plus particuli\u00e8rement dans le N\u00e9olithique et le Chalcolithique d\u2019Europe du Sud, est notamment reconnu pour ses recherches approfondies sur les cultures n\u00e9olithiques du Languedoc occidental.<br \/>\nAuteur de nombreux ouvrages et articles scientifiques, ses recherches ont port\u00e9 sur une large gamme de sujets, notamment la d\u00e9finition de groupes culturels n\u00e9olithiques tels que le Chass\u00e9en m\u00e9ridional, la production et la diffusion des outils de prestige en silex, l&rsquo;exploitation mini\u00e8re pr\u00e9historique ou encore l\u2019\u00e9mergence des grands habitats ceintur\u00e9s.<br \/>\nArch\u00e9ologue de terrain, il a \u00e9galement fouill\u00e9 des sites d\u2019int\u00e9r\u00eat majeur en France et en Italie, notamment plusieurs villages chass\u00e9ens dont la grande enceinte de Villeneuve-Tolosane et des sites ceintur\u00e9s du N\u00e9olithique final audois, comme Le Mourral et Roc d\u2019en Gabit.<br \/>\nAu cours de sa longue carri\u00e8re, Jean Vaquer a collabor\u00e9 avec des chercheurs renomm\u00e9s, en France comme \u00e0 l\u2019\u00e9tranger, contribuant \u00e0 des ouvrages collectifs et \u00e0 des colloques scientifiques. Il a \u00e9galement form\u00e9 un grand nombre d\u2019\u00e9tudiants \u00e0 l&rsquo;Universit\u00e9 de Toulouse Jean-Jaur\u00e8s et \u00e0 l&rsquo;EHESS.<br \/>\nCe sont ses coll\u00e8gues, ses h\u00e9ritiers et ses amis qui contribuent \u00e0 la r\u00e9daction de cet ouvrage qui lui est d\u00e9di\u00e9. Ce recueil de 28 articles explore des th\u00e9matiques qui lui sont ch\u00e8res.<\/p>\n<p><em>Jean Vaquer, archaeologist and director of research emeritus at the CNRS, specializes in recent Prehistory, particularly the Neolithic and Chalcolithic periods in southern Europe. He is widely recognized for his in-depth studies of the Neolithic cultures of western Languedoc.<br \/>\n<\/em><em>The author of numerous books and scientific articles, his research has explored various aspects of late Prehistory and early Protohistory. These include the definition of cultural groups such as the southern Chassean, the production and distribution of prestigious flint tools, prehistoric mining activities, and the development of large, closed settlements.<br \/>\n<\/em><em>As a field archaeologist, he directed excavations at numerous sites in France and Italy, including several Chassean villages, such as the large enclosure at Villeneuve-Tolosane, as well as closed Late Neolithic settlements in the Aude region, such as Le Mourral and Roc d&rsquo;en Gabit.<br \/>\n<\/em><em>Throughout his career, Jean Vaquer collaborated with many eminent researchers in France and abroad, contributing to collective works and scientific conferences.
