\u00c0 9 kilom\u00e8tres \u00e0 l\u2019Est de Carcassonne, sur la commune de Fonti\u00e8s-d\u2019Aude, le site dit \u00abLa Pi\u00e8ce d\u2019Alquier\u00bb a r\u00e9v\u00e9l\u00e9, lors d\u2019une op\u00e9ration d\u2019arch\u00e9ologie pr\u00e9ventive conduite en 2010-2011, des occupations de la fin du N\u00e9olithique. Une premi\u00e8re fr\u00e9quentation attribuable au V\u00e9razien ancien est mat\u00e9rialis\u00e9e par une fosse ayant pu \u00eatre utilis\u00e9e comme cave ou structure de stockage. Mais l\u2019intervention a surtout mis au jour les t\u00e9moins d\u2019une occupation campaniforme originale caract\u00e9ris\u00e9e par un foss\u00e9 construit en terre massive. Le mobilier associ\u00e9, attribuable au Campaniforme pyr\u00e9n\u00e9en, comporte de la c\u00e9ramique d\u00e9cor\u00e9e ainsi que de la poterie commune caract\u00e9ristique de ce faci\u00e8s, une industrie lithique en silex, en quartz et en roches tenaces, enfin quelques t\u00e9moins m\u00e9talliques (al\u00eanes) et des parures. Ce site est une nouvelle contribution \u00e0 l\u2019\u00e9tude de la phase r\u00e9cente du Campaniforme dans le bassin de l\u2019Aude.<\/p>\n

Nine kilometres to the East of Carcassonne, in the Fonti\u00e8s-d\u2019Aude commune, a rescue archeological excavation project carried out in 2010-2011 on a site named \u00ab La Pi\u00e8ce d\u2019Alquier \u00bb revealed evidence of occupation from the end of the New Stone Age. The first sign of ancient Verazien occupation is materialised by a pit that may have been used as a cellar or a space for storage. But the most significant finding from this excavation was the evidence of an original Bell Beakers occupation caracterised by a ditch made of rammed earth. The associated accessories, attributable to the Pyrenean Bell Beakers culture, includes decorated ceramics as well as plain pottery, a lithic industry in flint, quartz and tenacious rocks, some metallic evidence (awls) and some ornaments. This site is a new contribution to the study of the most recent phase of the Bell Beakers culture in the area of the Aude.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
