La cin\u00e9rite est une roche d\u2019origine volcanique constitu\u00e9e de cendres qui se sont accumul\u00e9es dans un bassin lacustre du Carbonif\u00e8re. Le seul g\u00eete r\u00e9gional o\u00f9 elle affleure pr\u00e8s de R\u00e9quista (Aveyron) a servi de carri\u00e8re durant la pr\u00e9histoire. La cin\u00e9rite a \u00e9t\u00e9 exploit\u00e9e d\u00e8s le Pal\u00e9olithique pour fabriquer des outils sur \u00e9clats et sur lames. Au N\u00e9olithique, cette roche a \u00e9t\u00e9 utilis\u00e9e \u00e0 grande \u00e9chelle pour la production de lames de haches polies. La d\u00e9couverte et le ramassage de milliers de pi\u00e8ces sur plusieurs ateliers de taille \u00e9clairent sous un jour nouveau la pr\u00e9histoire r\u00e9gionale. L\u2019\u00e9tude des sites de production et des sites r\u00e9cepteurs permet de cerner l\u2019\u00e9tendue des r\u00e9seaux de diffusion et de dater les diff\u00e9rentes \u00e9tapes de l\u2019exploitation pr\u00e9historique de cette mati\u00e8re premi\u00e8re exceptionnelle.
\nThe cinerite is a rock from volcanic origin, made of ashes which accumulated in a lacustrine basin of the Carboniferous period. The unique regional layer where this rock crops out near R\u00e9quista (Aveyron) served as a quarry during the prehistoric periods. The cinerite was exploited as soon as the Paleolithic to produce tools on flakes and blades. During the Neolithic, this rock was used in a large scale to produce the blades of polished axes. The discovery and the collecting of thousands of pieces on several knapping workshops throw a bright light on the regional prehistory. The study of the sites of production and those of reception allows to surround the extent of the diffusion nets and to date the different steps of the prehistoric exploitation of this exceptional raw material.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
